This article explains how to set up geolocation targeting in your Amped campaigns, allowing you to specify campaign visibility based on a visitor's location. This functionality utilizes the visitor's IP address and CDN information to determine location, offering reliable country-level targeting and state-level targeting with reliability at the city level not as great. Note that VPN use by a visitor may affect location accuracy.

Instructions for Setting Up Geolocation in Amped Campaigns:

  1. Select Your Campaign:

    • Navigate to the Amped campaign you wish to apply geolocation targeting to.

  2. Access Start Conditions:

    • Within your campaign settings, locate the "Start Conditions" section.

    • And then choose Geolocation:

  3. Add Geolocation Condition:

    • Choose to add a new start condition and select "Geolocation" from the available options.

  4. Configure Location Settings:

    • Here, you can specify the desired geographic targeting parameters:

      • Country: Set the target country for your campaign. This is the most reliable level of geolocation targeting.

      • Region/State: Further narrow down your targeting by specifying a region or state within the chosen country.

      • City: For more localized targeting, you can also specify a city. Keep in mind that city-level targeting may be less reliable.

  5. Save and Publish:

    • After configuring your geolocation settings, ensure you save your changes. Then, publish your campaign to apply these settings live.
