Start if

Start If refers to the conditions that need to be met for your campaign to start running. You can set criteria such as segments, URLs, and page views.

Triggers

Triggers allow you to set specific actions that will trigger your campaign to start, such as time on page, inactivity, quick scroll, or exit intent.

Pages Targeted

Pages Targeted refers to the pages where you want your campaign to run. You can target pages based on various rules and conditions, including URL matches, page exclusions, and multiple segments. You can also use or and and conditions to further refine your targeting.

Page URL vs Page Path:

  • The Page URL is the full web address of a specific webpage, including the protocol (http or https), domain name, and any additional subdirectories, file names, or query parameters. For example, "https://example.com/products/shoes?utm_source=tiktok".

  • The Page Path, on the other hand, refers to the portion of the URL that comes after the domain name, excluding the query parameters. In the example above, the Page Path would be "/products/shoes".

  • A very common use case in Amped is to target the homepage of a website. To do so effectively, you should use the condition [ Page Path Matches Exactly "/" ] instead of [ Page URL Matches Exactly "https://example.com/" ]. This is because using the exact URL match may not account for instances where query parameters are present in the URL, such as "https://example.com/?utm_source=facebook". In this case, the URL still represents the homepage, but it would not match the exact URL condition.

  • By using the logic of [ Page Path Matches Exactly "/" ], you ensure that your targeting rules will apply to the homepage regardless of any additional query parameters. This provides a more consistent and accurate targeting experience, making it easier for you to focus on the homepage in your campaigns.

  • Eg: Here's an example of a campaign that would show on any page URL that has "/products" in it OR if on the homepage of the website [ Page Path Matches Exactly "/" ]:

Pause if

Pause If allows you to pause your campaign if certain conditions are met, such as if the pages targeted no longer match. This ensures that your campaign is only running when it's relevant to your audience.

Stop if

Stop If allows you to stop your campaign if certain conditions are met, such as if the visitor is in a specific segment or is currently viewing a certain page URL. This can help you avoid showing irrelevant or repetitive content to your audience.


Session Handling

Session Handling allows you to set rules for when your campaign should expire or show
again, such as after a certain period of time or in a new session.


Frequency

Frequency allows you to set rules for how often your campaign should show to a visitor, such as once per session or once in a lifetime.


Safe Display

Safe Display helps you make sure that popups don't run into each other or fire at the same time.
