Generating an API Key in Sendlane
Sign in to your Sendlane account.
Navigate to Account, then go to API.
Under Sendlane API V2, click on + API Token.
Name your token (e.g., Amped.io), then click Create.
A personal access token will be generated. Be sure to copy this for the next steps.
Adding Your Sendlane API Key to Amped.io
Sign in to your Amped.io account.
Go to your integrations and locate Sendlane.
3. Click Connect, which will prompt you to enter your Sendlane API token.
4. Paste the API token you copied from Sendlane.
5. Choose a default Sendlane list from the dropdown menu.
6. Click Connect Sendlane to Amped.
Your Sendlane account is now integrated with Amped.io. Any email addresses or phone numbers that you gather via Amped.io popups will be directly sent to your Sendlane account.
Once subscribers are added into Sendlane, they will be tagged as Amped.io subscribed SMS and Amped.io subscribed email. If you've captured any Zero Party Data or quiz data, it will be reflected under the personalization for that specific subscriber in Sendlane. If these fields don't exist yet in your Sendlane account, Amped.io will create them automatically.
🚨 Action Required for using Sendlane SMS with the API
To activate SMS capabilities for your Amped Sendlane integration, please contact Sendlane directly to enable SMS API access on your account.
Do not skip this step if using SMS through Sendlane
Failing to activate SMS API will result in no SMS contacts being added to your Sendlane account.
As part of this process, you will need to provide proof of the correct consent copy, which is pre-built in all Amped.io templates. Simply take a screenshot of the phone number capture step in your campaign and send it to Sendlane.
